A big congratulations to all the children who did not miss a day of school for the year 2017/2018. Each child was awarded a certificate of attendance.   Very well done to all.  We wish everyone of our pupils a great summer break.

On Wednesday June 6th, Sheena O'Connell  from IRFU visited our school and brought the  Six Nations and Triple Crown trophies won by the Ireland rugby team.  All the children and staff enjoyed the visit.  A big thankyou to Irish Rugby team for sharing their glory with Dunboyne Junior School.

Autism awareness week

The month of April is Autism Awareness worldwide.   Wednesday April, 25th  our school staff and children all wore blue and took part in a walk  for Autism Awareness.  A parent visited Ms. Grogan's class and spoke about Autism and how to accept, understand and be kind. Some of our staff wore blue noses and Ms. Gahan's, Ms. Grogan's  and Ms. Ruane's classes helped with new display on our school notice board.

Intercultural Day was held on Tuesday 13th of February this year and we  had a wonderful day! The children ate traditional food from many different countries. They listened to visiting parents and friends, who taught them about Scotland, China, Estonia, Israel, Germany, Canada, Poland, Ethiopia and Ireland. First and Second classes also enjoyed martial arts and yoga.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Intercultural Day such a great learning experience.
