Dear Parents/Guardians,
I just wanted to say a big well done to everyone after a very successful active week last week.  The children got to partake in lots of activities including tennis, yoga, GAA, athletics and dancing.  This year the staff also got involved partaking in a staff steps competition.  A big thank you to Sarah Meegan for providing pedometers for all of the staff for the week.  It got very competitive but the SNA's team were the deserving winners.

I'd also like to thank Teresa for organising the GAA mini-league for 1st and 2nd classes.  Unfortunately the first classes got rained on but they may get to finish it another time.  Well done to the 2nd class winners who will receive their trophies this week.

Another big thank you to Keith Eglington and his team in Dunboyne Athletics Club for providing sports day activities for the 1st and 2nd class children again this year.  The children had a ball at the athletics track where they got to try sprints, long jump and javelin among other games and activities.  We really appreciate the Athletics Club's input and continued support in our quest to achieve our first Active Flag.  Keith asked me to remind everyone that the Dunboyne Community Games Athletics qualifiers for Meath take place this Wednesday May 2nd at 7pm at the track.

One last thank you to all of our active school committee who helped prepare for the week and also to Keela McHale and Róisín Lineen from St. Peter's College for helping out all week.
Keep an eye on the Active School section of the website this week for photos.

Thanks again
The Active School Committee
