LETTER FROM DR HOLOHAN

New Updated Guidelines Dated 14/09/20

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please have a look at the newest set of guidelines regarding Covid 19. Some useful information regarding when it is safe for a child to return to school if they have been ill or have had a negative Covid 19 test.
https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/if-your-child-has-symptoms.html

ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS

Dear Parent/Guardian,
If your child is feeling unwell and is displaying  some  symptoms that may be Covid 19 related, you will be  asked to take your child home from school, as per HSE guidelines. We advise you to ring your family doctor and ask his/her advice. Your are required to keep your child at home for 48 hours, as per HSE guidelines.

If your family doctor advises you, that your child should have a test for Covid 19, you are required to keep any of your other children attending this school at home, until the test result is known. If household members have been advised to have a test for Covid 19, you are required to keep your child at home, until the result of the test is known.

If your child has a runny nose or other minor symptoms and is “off-form”, but has no fever equal to or greater than 38.0 degrees, no cough , no shortness of breath,  no ill household contacts or history of travel, you are required to keep your child at home for 48 hours. If your child is well after the 48 hours he/she can go to school .
Please send an email to the school office, if your child is remaining at home from school.
The HSE Isolation Quick guide for Children was issued on 3/9/2020 and  is available at https://www.hpsc.ie/a-/respiratory/coronavirus/novelcoronavirus/guidance/childcareguidance/Isolation%20quick%20guide%20v1.1.pdf
