Our school EVENTS gallery
On Tuesday next, the 19th of February, it will be Intercultural Day in Dunboyne Junior Primary School. Your child will be asked to dress in a traditional costume for the day (e.g. football jersey, dance costume e.t.c) and will have a full day of cultural activities, including, food tasting, martial arts and presentations from parents about their home country, culture and traditions. Many thanks to those parents and friends, who have volunteered to help on the day.
In order to make this day an enjoyable experience for your child, we still need your help. One of the highlights of Intercultural day for the children is food tasting. Would you be willing to cook traditional food and to bring it to the school hall? Could you spare some time to help serve food? Food can be dropped to the school hall from 9am on Intercultural Day.
For safety reasons, please ensure that there are no nuts in any of the food you bring to the school. If your child has food allergies, please inform his/her class teacher.
Remember we rely on your help to make Intercultural Day an enjoyable and educational experience for all our pupils.
On Intercultural Day, all parents and guardians are invited to the school hall at 2.15pm for refreshments.
