Dunboyne Junior Primary School is a co-educational, Catholic, primary school, which endeavours to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and nurtured. While Dunboyne Junior Primary School is a school with a Catholic ethos, it also enrols pupils of other religions and none. The school encourages the involvement of parents through a range of contacts and through their involvement in the Parents’ Association. Dunboyne Junior Primary School strives to develop the self-esteem of everyone in the school community, to infuse in the pupils respect for people and property and to encourage them to be thoughtful, responsible and caring. Labhraítear Gaeilge i rith an lae, agus tá sé mar aidhm ag foireann na scoile í a usáid, chomh minic agus is féidir, mar theanga chaidrimh i rith an lae.
Our School Motto is 'Mol an Óige'. This comes from the old Irish proverb 'Mol an Óige agus tíocfaidh sí' meaning praise the young and they will flourish.
