At Dunboyne Junior Primary School, school life is active, friendly and full of opportunities for children to move, play and learn together. Our Active & Wellbeing School initiatives encourage pupils to try a variety of fun activities, build healthy habits and enjoy being outdoors with their classmates. Children are supported in developing confidence, cooperation, and a sense of belonging as they take part in movement breaks, playground games, and whole‑school events throughout the year.
Our pupils also enjoy hands-on learning throughout the week, from creative problem‑solving in our LEGO room to developing physical skills in gymnastics and dance lessons. These practical experiences help children to explore ideas, work as a team and discover new ways to express themselves as active learners.
Together, these experiences mean that children are busy, engaged and happy in their learning each day. They come to school ready to take part, try new things, and enjoy being part of a lively school community.
